Attaining the Grade of Black Belt should be no easy feat. The problem giving an exact time frame lies in the fact that most Martial Arts Schools have different teachings.
At FitRoots, students in our Adult’s Programme are eligible, and it generally takes 8 years (on average) of training under our system and syllabus to achieve their Black Belt.
The main difference is that many Martial Arts Schools just teach you how to kick, punch, attack, defend – Basically, just the physical elements of Martial Arts.
But at FitRoots, you will learn to Master Your Life with Martial Arts, by learning Philosophy, Psychology, and Biology too. The FitRoots syllabus has been set up so you can apply your experience in classes to the rest of your life.
This is a common question new students have before they start their training. Simply, join as ‘fit’ as you are, then together, we’ll figure out where you want to be, and how we can help you get there.
Over time, we have seen those that wait for the perfect conditions, so they can begin, rarely actually begin their training. It’s best to get started, and we’ll meet you where you are right now.
Personal Training at FitRoots is very tailored to the individual student. The process we use to get you to achieve your goals takes a lot of time, planning, and focus.
Unlike other Personal Trainers, we DON’T use templates, just count reps for you, or stare at our phones whilst training you.
We build your foundations up, which means you will get a unique approach for your body, lifestyle, and situation, to get the best results when training with us. Our Personal Training programmes start at £2,400 for 12 weeks.
When you are able to control your physical, and mental state, then you will be able to defend yourself to a reasonable degree.
However, if you have a fear of not being able to defend yourself, we would need to work on that first. The key is to train your body and mind constantly, so you are always ready for any and every situation.
Generally, anywhere between 7-15. We strongly believe every student must get more than adequate attention at every class.
To make sure everyone gets their fair share of learning, we make sure that there are sufficient instructors, and never allow numbers to be the priority over quality teaching and students.
The Syllabus is split up into three sections:
The Physical tests for Martial Arts, Biomechanics, Posture, Breathing, and Functional Strength.
The Mental tests for knowledge in Philosophy, Psychology, and Biology.
The Purpose tests for practical application to each student’s life, and creating a positive impact on the local community too.
